Family Fun

I love Family Fun!  The magazine and having fun with my family.  🙂  Lynn has asked for an entry about what we do for family fun around here.  Lots – I’d like to think anyway. We work hard and play hard.  Fun comes in feeding the cows and brushing the horses.  (Believe it or not,…

Our Weekend

What a lovely end to September!  Beautiful weather, great fun and good company. After a trip to the local Pumpkin Festival on Saturday, Steve and the kids headed to the back of our farm for a little fishing in the creek.  Mahayla made the catch of the day with this nice-looking bass.  It made a…

A 60th Birthday Party

My Daddy is turning 60.  Twenty-four years ago on my Mom’s 30th birthday, my Dad surprised her with a party full of friends and family.  It took her quite a long time to repay the favor, but she successfully pulled off a surprise birthday party for him this year! We had such a good time! …

All Stars…..Hmmm

Caleb loves baseball.  He’s been on a t-ball team for three years now and finally made the All Star team this year.  We were very proud and he was very excited.  Ball has always been fun, fun, fun for him.  He plays pretty well, laughs a lot, jokes with his coaches and is good to…

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday my sweet, beautiful Mahayla!  We celebrated your BIG 10 year old birthday today – I can’t believe it’s been TEN YEARS already!!  I wouldn’t trade one moment of these ten years for all the money in the world.  You are growing into an amazing young lady and I look forward to all the days…

A Little Boy’s Wish

Yesterday (after an unusually long playtime without arguments), my sweet little rough-and-tumble 6 year old son walks down the stairs fresh from “Mahayla’s Hair and Nail Salon” (located in the bathroom.)  He looks at me with his big blue eye-shadowed eyes, his gelled-to-perfection hair, and his wet-to-the-touch blue fingernails and says, “Mom, can we PLEASE…

Strong Baby!

Wow!  I took these pictures about a week ago when Eli was 3 weeks old.  He has already turned from his side to his belly a couple of times and from his belly to his back a few times.  This was going from belly to back.
