Spider Webs Everywhere!
Posted by Cindy on October 9, 2009
October is an awesome time for finding spiders and their amazing webs in my area. Take a look at the webs we found in and around a barn.

Sheet Web

Funnel Web

Tangle Web

And I couldn't pass up this picture of spiderlings that recently emerged from their egg sack!
I tell ya, once you start looking for things in nature, God is always good to give you quite a show!
Melissa and I are currently revamping the Spectacular Spiders NaturExplorers unit to make it more meaty and add several notebooking pages. Once we do, the price will jump – but this won’t happen for several weeks. If you’re interested in studying spiders now, the current Spectacular Spiders unit is only $7.00!

Those pictures are so great! I’m not real crazy about spiders… or particularly NOT crazy about them in my house or touching me, but their webs are fascinating. You got some great shots!
Ok Can you come to my home and do this activity with my boys? Snakes and Lizards I find fasinating. Spiders scare the crap outta me.
OK, yuck! I am so not getting that close to spiders and the babies creeped me out. Can you tell that I am not the cool nature Mom? lol Great pics!
Did you know that spider webs are used to treat a wound? I’m not absolutely sure if it’s to stop the bleeding or to heal the skin, but people in the countryside keep the spiderwebs in their homes just for that purpose. (So now I have an excuse for not brushing away the cobwebs. It’s for the first aid kit!)
