We have LOVED Renoir! In this week’s lesson, the children chose Renoir’s painting below (Oarsmen at Chatou) to try to replicate.

Thanks for all the great resources and I love your kids pictures!!! =)
We like Renoir! Somehow we missed ‘Renoir and the Boy with the Long Hair’, we’ll have to get that one, if we ever come back to Renoir.
We are doing the Limbourg brothers currently, but when we arrive to Renoir I will check back here. Thank you for compiling this list!
This was such a great entry for the carnival. I love the way your shared your resources and then your artwork that followed up the study.
I am really starting to see how copying whole paintings and parts of paintings is vital to our really seeing a painting.
I love your Van Gogh choices in your sidebar as well. He is one of my favorite artists. I have all of the books you suggest in my home library.
Thanks again for submitting this to the carnival.

I love the kids’ versions of the painting! Thanks for sharing the books you read along with your study, too. Sometimes good ones are hard to find. ♥
Renoir has been my favorite artist since early childhood.
This is a lovely post ! Thanks for sharing it in the CM Blog Carnival.
Grace & Peace,
